We finally got out tubing this summer. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more the kids or Chris & me!

Happy Birthday "lil" Grandma

We celebrated the "lil" Grandma's birthday by visiting her at the cottage. Addie & Holden each picked out a few small gifts for her and made special birthday cards explaining their gifts...How do you justify a small nerf ball, a pizza cutter & a first aid kit? Grandma "LOVES" playing catch with us, the "lil" grandma (& grandpa) "LOVE" to eat pizza & "now if I burn my feet on the hot sand at the cottage the "lil" grandma will have boo-boo bandaids to help me feel better." These were for GRANDMA right???

Ice Cream with Grandpa!

Holden & his Grandpa (aka the "lil Grandpa") have a lot of things in common, one of those things being their love of ice cream. When there is a limited suppy, things can get a little "ugly" when the two are forced to "share!" As you can see, grandpa did get a few bites of this one!

At the Car Wash...

A weekly event around here this summer has been the Car (okay, VAN) / Bike Wash. Addie & Holden wash their bikes while daddy washes the van &/or truck. I always try to make sure we do this on Saturday evenings so that everyone gets an extra bath for church on Sunday!

Read to Me...

Holden has continued to LOVE having a little brother around...One of his favorite things to do is to read to Weston (when he can get Weston to stay still & OUT of his trains!).

Shipshewana

One of our fun day trips this summer was a trip to Shipshewana. We all enjoyed an authentic Amish horse & buggy ride, a carousal ride & the kids had fun riding real ponies & petting farm animals. Chris & I enjoyed walking through the flea market for some "adult time." However...one child (not naming any names) wasn't quite in the mood for a nap (as usual)!
